Crowns and bridges are complex restorations recommended when other less invasive options cannot save, preserve, or strengthen a tooth. Crowns restore function when teeth are fractured, stained, damaged, or needed to attach a bridge. A crown is a restoration that covers a tooth to restore it to its standard shape and size. Its purpose is not only to strengthen but to improve the appearance of a tooth.

Different Types of Crowns and Bridges

Porcelain Fused to Metal Alloy Crown/Bridge – have a precious metal base and porcelain facing on top. These restoratives allow you to have a restoration that has strength and aesthetics.
All Ceramic Crowns and Bridges – These new restorative materials are metal free and demonstrate properties similar to those of natural teeth.
Gold Crown/Bridge -gold crowns are mostly used on posterior teeth when there is evidence of wear to teeth due to heavy grinding and clenching.

I, like many, get anxious or resistant to visit the the dentist, not here. Desiree is welcoming and inviting from the moment you enter the office. She made me feel completely at ease about my appointment. The staff is knowledgable and efficient. Scans and xrays were done quickly and Dr. Dhawan explained the results and potential treatment plans in a way that was easy to understand. I immediately felt confident in his findings and my options moving forward. I look forward to entrusting these folks with my smile for all of my future dental needs!

To know me is to know that I have always been scared to death of going to the dentist! For the first time I am in a prosthodontics office where I know that when I arrive, Desiree will greet me with a smile and make sure I have all of the information that I need regarding insurance and upcoming appointments. Next, I am greeted by Nancy who has the ability to calm people like me with her true caring for how I am doing and with her passion and experience in her field explains what they are going to do at this appointment. Dr Dhawan is a true expert in his field, Making sure that I am kept comfortable, even if I need to have extractions and have implants placed. He truly cares that his work is up to his standard which is very high. I’m very thankful that I know I am in the right place with the best in their field.

I’m in the final stages of a full mouth reconstruction by Dr. Dhawan and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. This is not a “one-day, quick-fix” procedure. I appreciate Dr. Dhawan’s skill and professionalism, his conservative, phased approach to the work, and his patience in explaining the steps and answering my questions along the way. It took a little while for his sense of humor to come out, but I appreciate that it did because it made extensive dental work a lot less stressful. His assistant Nancy is fantastic and has been a very calming influence throughout the process. Desiree (Practice Manager) is always cheerful, is quick to respond to phone calls and the office runs smoothly. I’ve felt well cared for by everyone and I would highly recommend.

The Center has taken care of my dental problems for years now. I have to admit that I'm not the most comfortable in the dental chair. This group always makes me feel comfortable. Dr Maromey is the best and provides sound advice for an old guy like me.

My first consult with Dr Maroney was in August, 2015. He asked me why I was there and what I hoped to accomplish with my mouth. He actually listened to me rather than telling me what I should do. He didn't try and sell me on a full mouth of implant replacement teeth. Please understand I have numerous placement issues with my teeth that cause a very limited bite only on two rear teeth. Dr Maroney showed me examples of several very difficult cases like mine he was able to help.Dr Maroney has been able to save these key teeth, add a strategic implant, a crown and a four tooth bridge.Dr Dahwan has joined the staff a few years ago bringing his excellent prosthetic experience and I look forward to continuing to work with him.The entire staff is an excellent group of caring professional there to help .My ThanksDusty Kurtic

We started coming here with my teenage daughter's complicated mouth issues. Her oral surgeon recommended we come here, because they're the only ones to trust when you have a complicated case. We are now almost at the end of the implant journey, and I can say confidently that this was the best recommendation. Throughout the whole process, they've made appliances, adjustments and whatever was needed to keep a teenage athlete looking pretty while going through surgeries, including getting hit in the mouth during sports in the middle of the implant process. I can say that they have made an otherwise miserable process into something where she feels incredibly well taken care of!

Dr. Maroney and his staff truly model what good patient care should be. They were very professional and had a great bedside manner which is hard to find these days. Dr. Maroney and my oral surgeon really worked well as a team and coordinated a great treatment plan for me. My oral surgery was done yesterday in the morning, and right after words Dr. Maroney and his staff got me right in. A temporary bridge was created for me that really looks great. It is only post op day 2, but my smile already looks much better. Thank you so much for such great care and quality work.

I had such a positive experience here. Dr. Dhawan treated me. Even though my case was a little complicated, he was able to save my tooth. My treatment was not that long and was painless. I have a bad gag reflex, but doc and his assistant (special shoutout) were very accommodating and no point did I feel uncomfortable.
